30 Jun 1967 - Took oath as 2LT in the Regular Army Ordered to report to Ft Carson in three days
15 Jul 1967 - Assigned as Platoon Leader, Company B, 1st Bn, 11th Infantry
3 Aug 1967 - Ordered to report to Ft Benning, GA, for Infantry Officer's Basic Course
13 Sep 1967 - Reported to 3rd Ranger Company to begin Ranger School; Graduated 9 Nov 1967
27 Dec 1967 - Made 4.2 Mortar Platoon Leader; HHC, 1st Bn, 11th Infantry
7 Jun 1968 - Promoted to 1LT ( I didn't find out for a few weeks)
15 Jun 1968 - Jungle School in Panama
13 Jul 1968 - Arrived in Viet Nam
16 Jul 1968 - 1st Admin XO, 1st Infantry Division
18 Oct 1968 - Assumed Command of 1st Admin
25 Nov 1968 - Ordered to Company F, 52nd Infantry (LRP) Didn't go because of survey.
18 Dec 1968 - Company D, 2nd Battalion, 18th Infantry, Platoon Leader
17 Mar 1968 - Got my Combat Infantry Badge!!
2 Apr 1968 - Assigned to Combat Support Company to serve as Recon Platoon Leader
7 Jun 1969 - Promoted to CPT
17 Jul 1969 - Made S-2 (Intelligence Officer)
29 Jul 1969 - Assumed Command of Company A, 2nd Battalion, 18th Infantry
21 Dec 1969 - Made Assistant XO; a REMF once more. Sometime while Asst XO, I took over Com pany C for a few weeks. Then I was an excess officer at the Battalion HQ in the field
23 Jan 1970 - Returned to USA
24 Sep 1975 - Discharged from Regular Army. Entered Reserves
