Grappling Hook

We used the grappling hook and rope to get across canals and rivers and to trip booby traps. It had to be carried so it could be accessed easily because we used it a lot. It had to be carried so that it wouldn't snag on anything, either, or where it could dig into you if you had to hit the dirt. It took some practice to get good at throwing it, too.
