The Piedmont Area Vietnam Veterans Memorial
Located in Culpeper, Virginia

Dedicated May 25th, 1998

THESE NINETEEN

Nineteen angels took flight this day.
From heavens gate they came our way.

They stand among us, See their faces,
In Mom and Dad and other places.

They hear this day their memories told,
Heard by all, young and old.

They're named in stone, lest we forget,
These nineteen and the fate they met.

In jungles deep and fields of rice,
These nineteen paid the highest price.

Knowing this day how much they gave,
To all of us, our freedom save.

Know they do the price we pay,
And have to live with everyday.

They see their families, and see their faces,
No more hugs and warm embraces.

For you now named upon this wall,
We wish you peace, God Bless You All.

Take flight now angels, to heaven go,
And may your light forever glow.
